STONE LAKE AREA HISTORICAL SOCIETY MISSION STATEMENT:
Our purpose shall be exclusively educational and specifically to collect and preserve records and objects related to the history of the Stone Lake area of Sawyer County and Washburn County.
We shall operate a museum in cooperation with the Wisconsin Historical Society and/or other organizations, agencies, or municipalities and shall keep proper records for the protection of the interests of our donors and contributors.

May 4, 2013 (Saturday): Stone Lake Area Historical Society Ham & Scalloped Potato Dinner at the Stone Lake Fire Hall from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
June 12, 2013 (Wednesday): Treasure of the Namakagon: Jim Braaken, author of the "Treasure of the Namakagon" will speak on Cable/Hayward early history with emphasis on the hidden mine of Chief Namakagon at the Stone Lake Town Hall at 7:00 PM.
July 7, 2013 (Sunday): Stone Lake Area Historical Society Pie and Ice Cream Social at the Stone Lake Lion's Park on Highway 70 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
August 17, 2013 (Saturday): Stone Lake Area Historical Society Open House at the Stone Lake Area Historical Society Depot/Museum from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
September 15, 2013 (Sunday): The Stone Lake Area Historical Society will hold their "Second Annual Cemetery Walk" at Evergreen Cemetery in Stone Lake from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. There will be historical presentations by members of Stone Lake pioneer families, a lesson in doing cemetery rubbings, and refreshements. Bring your lawn chair and prepare to have a great time!
October 5, 2013 (Sunday): Cranberry Festival Wine Booth: Cranberry wine by the glass will be served by volunteers from the historical society next to the Lion's Club building on Main Street in Stone Lake from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
